Audubon Genuardi's: 'We’re Here and We’re Not Going Anywhere'

While other area Genuardi's grocery stores have closed or changed hands, the Audubon Village Shopping Center store plans on sticking around for the long haul.

According to The Times Herald, the last remaining Genuardi's location in our area is planning on sticking around.

The Audubon Village Shopping Center Genuardi's, at 2850 Audubon Village Drive in Eagleville, is still part of the Safeway company while other area locations were closed or sold to the Weis and Giant supermarket chains.

"We’re here and we’re not going anywhere," Store Manager Victor C. Jones told the Herald. "We’d like people in the Norristown area to know we’re here and we’re only five miles away. So many people don’t realize there is still a Genuardi’s market and we’re just around the corner."

"Audubon is the only Genuardi’s store left and we’re here for the long run," Genuardi’s District Manager John Vuotto told the Herald.

Ever since the Norristown Genuardi's closed down, my wife has been unable to find a market with everything she likes. Weis is terrible, she says. She likes SOME of the things at Wegmans but not the meat. She likes the Meat at Acme but, I think she buys her Produce elswhere. I'm going to urge her to get up to Audubon. If they have the same selection as they did at Norristown, she'll be happy.
