Used car retailer CarMax opened a new store in King on Prussia on Wednesday, whose celebration included WMMR radio host Preston Elliot of the Preston and Steve Show, who competed in a contest after which CarMax donated $1,000 to his charity of choice, Laurel House in Norristown.
Local celebrities, including Elliot, competed in a “‘Road Rally’” and other contests, according to a CarMax media release. Laurel House a domestic violence organization, gives aid to those in need in Montgomery county.
CarMax is the nation’s largest used car retailer and the King of Prussia location, at 185 South Gulph Road, is their second store in the Delaware Valley.
“Giving back to the communities in which we live and work is an important part of the CarMax culture. Our new King of Prussia store is no exception,” said Tom Folliard, president and CEO of CarMax, in the media release.
