Prism Beer Fizzing to Top of PHL17 'Philly HOT LIST'

In less than one hour on Tuesday, MontCo's Prism Brewing Co. went from fifth to second place in PHL17's "Philly HOT LIST" contest for best brewpub.

Prism is competing against the likes of Appalachian Brewing Co. in Collegeville, Forest & Main in Ambler, and Nodding Head in Philadelphia. You can vote for Prism Beer at this link. Voting ends September 6. 

More than 6,200 local businesses are competing in various categories, and Prism has received more than 40 votes and 13 "tips," as of Tuesday evening. 

Of the tips: 

• "The people, staff, beer and location are all rockin!" 

• "Shady Blonde is a must try & really can't go wrong with any of their selection. Worth the drive out to the Burbs!!" 

• "Because it is. It is as simple as that."

The brewing company is owned by North Penn High School alum Rob DeMaria. It hosts a North Penn Alumni Association free "recollection" networking event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
