Why go: The Suicide Prevention Taskforce Open House will feature information about suicide prevention, crisis intervention, help after a suicide attempt and coping with a suicide loss. Representatives from support groups, health providers and veteran affairs agencies will be on hand to present information and answer questions.

Why go: The annual fundraiser for Angel Flight East includes an artists and crafters showcase, sightseeing flights, music, entertainment, food, a petting zoo, children’s activities and much more.

Why go: This ceremony will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 1 attacks. You should arrive by 8 a.m. to allow time to park and be seated. Light refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
Where/When: MLK Park, Arch and East Oak streets; Sept. 11, noon to 4 p.m.
Why go: This event, rescheduled due to rain, will be an all-day celebration featuring Praise in the Park, Children’s Village, Vendor’s Marketplace, Health Afrikan American Muzikfest and entertainment. All are welcome.
