Montco Judge Injured in Slip and Fall on Courthouse Steps

Judge Cheryl Austin suffered severe ligament and tendon damage when she slipped on the wet steps of the Montgomery County Courthouse on Tuesday.

According to PhillyBurbs.com, a Montgomery County judge took a spill Tuesday morning and got an impromptu tour of emergency room at the new Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in East Norriton while doctors treated her injuries.

Judge Cheryl Austin was reportedly running from a courtroom in the Montgomery County Courthouse to her office across the street at One Montgomery Plaza when she slipped on the rain-soaked steps of the courthouse.

Judge Austin sustained "severe ligament and tendon damage to her ankle," according to PhillyBurbs.com and her leg was put in an air cast. The judge is expected to return to work today.
