Want to Get Your News Out on Norristown Patch? Post an Announcement

Do you have news you want Norristown and the surrounding communities to know about? Norristown Patch is your answer. This site is much more than just an online newspaper – it's a community bulletin board and calendar. It's also a place for people to share thoughts and ideas and debate important issues.

If you have a story you want to get out, you don't have to send it in and hope an editor gets around to posting it, you can post it directly to the site yourself! If you do, and it's news the community needs to hear about, I'll make sure it gets on the Norristown Patch homepage. We can also spread the word on our Twitter and Facebook pages.

So how do you do it? It's easy. Just follow these steps:

1. Create an account by clicking here.
2. Once you're signed up, click here to create a new Announcement.
3. Make sure to add the photos where it says "Upload Photos and Video."
4. Once you click "Post My Announcement" at the bottom, you will come to the page that features your announcement. That's all you have to do!

But you don't just have to post news items. Are you the proud parent, sibling, grandparent, friend or admirer of a student who's made the honor roll? Did you earn an awesome promotion, get engaged or married? Share the good news. Whether your kid got straight A's for the first time, you've become a black belt, your company is looking for interns or you have a volunteer opportunity, Norristown Patch is the place to let it be known.

We have a category for almost everything (births, sports awards, religious occasions, thank you's, etc.), so feel free to post an announcement for just about anything.
