Why are you running for office: It is my desire to be re-elected to the position of NASD School Board Director so that I can continue to serve our community in support of a quality education for all of our children.

What do you think are the biggest issues you would face in office? Government support for education has declined and we can no longer wait for funding, or assistance. We must take on the responsibility to financially support, educate and serve our community and students with appropriate funding sources (other than our local community tax base), sustain up-to-date 21st Century classroom technology (with the assistance of NAEF), and provide innovative educational and social programs so that each student is given the opportunity to further their education or technical skills and become productive members of our society.

If elected, what would you aim to accomplish: If re-elected, it is my desire to improve our academic standings with a stronger educational plan utilizing a teacher-parent-student team methodology, restore our sports programs into highly competitive teams, and maintain our funding for early childhood Pre-K and all day kindergarten programs, as well as our music and arts programs.

What else would you like residents to know about you? I am a proud parent of a NASD 10th Grade Student at Norristown Area High School and a 2012 NAHS Valedictorian Graduate currently attending the United States Naval Academy.
