WHAT:  Join ULI Philadelphia for the 11th Annual Urban Issues Forum. This forum takes an in depth look at the “supply side” of the real estate industry. Hear from some of the top leaders in the industry and learn the true costs of development- construction, barriers and opportunities. 

LAND ACQUISITION:   John J. Connors, Vice President, The Brickstone Companies, overseeing the acquisition and development of Mellon Independence Center and other Philadelphia projects.

CONSTRUCTION:  Daniel Keating, III, Chief Executive Officer, The Keating Companies, including KMS Development Partners, Keating Consulting and Keating Environmental Management.

LABOR:  Anthony Wigglesworth, Executive Director, Philadelphia Area Labor Management (PALM), a private nonprofit organization founded by the Philadelphia Council of the AFL-CIO and the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce to foster increased cooperation, problem-solving and change processes.

REGULATORY ISSUES:  City of Philadelphia Deputy Mayor Alan Greenberger will talk about the results of Philadelphia’s new zoning code (marking its one-year anniversary), business permitting and tax issues.

MODERATOR:  Stephen P. Mullin, Principal, Econsult Solutions, which will officially release at this conference the results of its new study comparing Philadelphia building costs to those in comparable cities, including entitlements, permits, land, labor, materials and more.
