GREATER NORRISTOWN ART LEAGUE ANNOUNCES BUS TRIP TO NYC AND THE AMERICAN WATERCOLOR SOCIETY SHOW

Please join us for an elegant day in New York City on April
12, 2014.  First, we will be going to the
Guggenheim Museum, a Frank Lloyd
Wright designed building and a landmark in the Upper East Side of Manhattan,
where we will view the renowned permanent collection and special exhibits,
including Carrie Mae Weems;  Three Decades of Photography and Video,  Italian Futurism, 1909-1944, and Vasily
Kandinsky in Paris, 1934-1944.



We will then move on to view the American Watercolor Society Show
The AWS show is at the Salmagundi
Club
which is one of the oldest Art Organizations in the country.  The club is housed in a historic brownstone
mansion in Greenwich Village



Following a special buffet lunch at the Salmagundi Club,
exclusive to our group alone, we will have ample time to view the AWS show, a
juried exhibition of watercolors from artists throughout the world.

The bus will leave from the Whitehall Elementary school as
usual at about 8:00am and return at approximately 7:00pm.  The cost for members will be $85 and $95 for
non-members.  This cost includes the bus
fare, entry to the Guggenheim and the lunch at the Salmagundi Club.
