Anyone who hears voices is welcome to participate in this mutual support group. It is not a treament group, but a support group directed by its members with facilitation by Berta Britz, a certified peer specialist and a fellow voice hearer.
People who hear voices have traditionally been stigmatized in our society and often live in isolation. This group is an opportunity to share personal experience with others who listen respectfully and share their experience as well. It is an opportunity to meet others and build community.
This is a group modeled after those started in the Netherlands and held around the world. It is part of the Hearing Voices Movement which has empowered many voice hearers.
