Dragon Boat Club Brought Holiday Cheer to ‘Winter Wonderland at Riverfront Park’

Norristown councilman William Caldwell kindly shared his photos with Patch.

Norristown municipal councilman William Caldwell has given Patch permission to share the photos that he took while enjoying the Norristown Dragon Boat Club’s ‘Winter Wonderland at Riverfront Park’ on Saturday by the Schuylkill river in Norristown that the boat club calls its home.

The councilman posted on Facebook that he enjoyed the evening, which was full of carols, lights and a reading of “‘Twas The Night Before Christmas.”

His photos show a visit from Santa, a roadway carefully lined with pretty, light-filled bags, tree-lined lights and plenty of smiling children and adults.

Caldwell’s description from the Facebook post:

“A Christmas Wonderland Indeed. Had a great time at the Carol Sing and arrival of Santa Clause at the park by dragon boat! Great turnout by the West End Community, and the Dragon Boat Club and friends from all over the area. We gotta do this one again! I see a signature winter event for Norristown in the future. Many, many thanks to Robin Parker, the Dragon Boat Club of Norristown, the Ebenezer Choir and the NFD for putting this together.”
