How to Recycle Christmas Trees in Norristown, West Norriton and East Norriton

The recycling will start in January.

Norristown:

Christmas trees and yard waste will be collected beginning Monday, Jan. 13 on the day after one’s usual trash pick-up. As an example, when trash is usually collected on Wednesday, the Christmas tree should be out by 6 a.m. on Thursday. In order to be collected, trees must be bare with no decorations, ornaments or lights. 

West Norriton:

Christmas trees will be collected starting Wednesday, Jan. 1 and will be collected through January. Christmas trees should be placed on the curb and they must be bare, with no lights or ornaments.

East Norriton:

Christmas trees will be collected on Monday, Jan. 6 and Monday, Jan 13, and must be placed by the curb by 6 a.m. on both of the collection days. The trees will be chipped on site; hence, the trees must be bare with no lights, ornaments, garlands, wires or any other item that can damage the chipping equipment. Please note that collections might not be completed in one day.
