Norristown Dragon Boat Club Talks ‘Winter Wonderland’

The club shared photos from the event.

More photos are coming in from ‘Winter Wonderland at Riverfront Park’ hosted by the Dragon Boat Club of Norristown on Saturday by the Schuylkill river in Norristown, which is the boat club’s home base.

According to Head Coach Robin Parker, it was a good night, with many people coming to celebrate the holidays.

As guests entered the riverfront area they were flanked by luminary bags on the street, which circled the park, wrote Parker in an email to Patch. They arrived to a colorfully-lit area where people sang together, enjoyed an appearance by Santa, and drank coffee.

“All the hours of planning and stetting up were so worth it,” Parker told Patch. “To see the park in lights, hear people singing, to see people smiling and having a good time was just so great.”

She thanked the Norristown Fire Department, who arrived before the festivities to help set the scene.
