Marjorie Margolies has a lead that may not go away

A Roll Call article about the PA 13th talks about Marjorie Margolies taking a substantial lead in the Democratic Primary Race for next year. http://atr.rollcall.com/margolies-poll-gives-her-large-lead-in-crowded-democratic-primary/

Evidently she already owns 48%.  One can quibble about the sample size being small and the primary being more than 8 months away, however, there are some environmental attributes to this race that should not be ignored in her favor.

Once you slice the electorate into Democratic demographic chunks by sex - there are a lot more women than men.

Add the fact that Marjorie is an original Emily's Lister.  It will be hard for ANY Democratic woman not to give her due respect in the ballot box.

Add the fact that when she was in Congress she acted responsibly.  Her vote for the Clinton Tax was the fundamental reason we got a robust economy in the mid to late 90's.

Add the fact in 1992 she ran with Bubba Clinton and helped pull towns she had no business winning for him.  The Clintons know how to return a favor.

Add the fact her daughter-in-law is Chelsea Clinton. Do you really think that a Clinton will let one of their own down?  This could become a warm-up for Hillary in 2016.

Add the facts of her personal story as a trail blazer for Women's Rights and the general ups and downs of living publicly - you have someone who has earned wisdom to go along with her natural empathy.  

Wisdom and empathy - missing ingredients that need to be added to Congress.

I think anyone standing on the tracks with this train bearing down on them is foolish.  I have met the candidates in this race and have known some for quite a while.   

They are all smart accomplished folks. The people of the 13th will not lose with any of them.  But this may not be their time right now.
