It Comes in Threes

Methacton has a problem on their hands. It isn't the first time, nor will it be the last.

Game changing events happen in threes. Three strikes, you're out. Three downs to move the football down the field. Three rings of your cell phone before it decides to drop coverage. For the Methacton School District, it's three and counting.

I've heard the rumors of Dr. Quinn's innapproate-ness happening at his past school districts, but they were, after all, rumors. Rumors float the hallways of Methacton every day. However, when FOX 29 broke news of a potential innapproate relationship between Dr. Quinn and Dr. Barrie, MSD's Director of Curriculum, it seems like that not only there are grains of truth in those rumors, but it puts a cherry on Methacton's Screw-Up Sundae.

The debacle comes a short time after a teacher at MHS went to the police about an alledged innapproate relationship with a student. Jeeeeez.

I was just at the deliciously condensed School Board Meeting this Tuesday, a day after FOX 29 did their most recent update of this situation (shocker, there was no update), and the Methacton School Board again refused to update or expand on the situation of what happened.

Meanwhile, Dr. Quinn and Dr. Barrie were still sitting there, on the board, Quinn next to the school board President.

If this was any other school district, both parties would have been removed from their duties pending the results of the investigation. But this is Methacton. We do things differently here.

The fact that no one on this board finds that its a problem that an administrator had an (allegedly) innapproate relationship with another administrator, or at least enough of a problem to speak out about it, is a problem.

First a teacher, now the superintendent. Who is gonna be the third?

People are simply ignorant. The pastor of my church on West Marshall Street is daily picking upRead More empty snack bags, soda cans, and trash that either walkers drop, or motorists throw. We tried to get a trash can, and the borough refused.

Dang! I wish I read this when it was posted. I would have loved this opportunity! I know a girl atRead More NAHS who just started a club called F.L.O. (For Ladies Only). The discuss fashion, beauty, etc. If they knew about this they could have fund raised to be apart of this. Being that its one month away, I doubt $750 will be just lying around. I hope Harcum will offer this next summer as well, it's a great school and a wonderful opportunity to get the skills needed to survive in the Fashion Merchandising realm of College.
