Kidnapping of Nigerian School Girls

The group responsible for kidnapping the 234 school girls has claimed it is on religious grounds. Have local Muslim groups made any comment on the actions taken by this group? Has any sect made an effort to support these girls and their families?
 As a community we should send emails to the Nigerian Embassy and The White House to support these girls and help reunite them with their families.
