Ambler Man Threatened to Cut Baby Out of Pregnant Lover: Police

An Ambler man is in police custody, charged with simple assault and other offenses after he allegedly threatened to cut the baby out of his pregnant ex-girlfriend, according to The Daily Times of Delaware County.

James Lynch, 29, of the 400 block of Railroad Avenue, also allegedly dragged the three-months-pregnant woman down a flight of stairs, bruising her body, police said.Lynch is also charged with reckless endangerment, terroristic threats, burglary, robbery of a vehicle, criminal mischief, criminal trespass and harassment, according to court records.

Lynch allegedly assaulted and threatened the woman in her Gia Circle home in Upper Darby Township, according to the report.

He faces a preliminary hearing Sept. 5 in a Delaware County district court. His bail is set at 10 percent of $50,000, according to court records.
