Armed Subject Report Sends Police to Walnut Street Home

While executing the search warrant, police uncovered two silver BB gun pistols hidden below clothing in a drawer. as well as a bullet-proof vest in the bedroom, police said.

Norristown Police have issued an arrest warrant for a resident of the 500 block of Walnut Street, who allegedly threatened a fellow resident with two BB guns.

Police arrived to the scene at 11:55 p.m. on July 16 for a report of an armed subject. There they encountered two residents of the home who told police that another resident – identified as Kenneth Schumann, 33 – allegedly pulled two handguns on the men during an argument, the report states.

One of the men identified one of the weapons as a BB gun and asked Schumann why he would point them at him, at which point Schumann responded "This one is a BB gun, but you're going to feel that this [other] one is real," the report states. Both men then left the residence to wait for police, believing the second gun to be real, according to the report.

Police reportedly asked Schumann if the guns were real and, if so, where he had put them, but Schumann stated that police would have to get a search warrant to find them, police said. At that time, all residents were removed from the home as police applied for – and were later granted – a search warrant, the report states.

While executing the search warrant, police uncovered two silver BB gun pistols hidden below clothing in a drawer. as well as a bullet-proof vest in the bedroom. The victims then identified the weapons, before they were placed into evidence, along with the bullet-proof vest.
