Arrest Made After Norristown Motorcyclist’s Death

Authorities announced the arrest of a Philadelphia man after the death of Norristown motorcyclist Gary Malone.

A Philadelphia man has been arrested and charged with homicide by vehicle following the death of Norristown motorcyclist Gary Malone in a Nov. 3 incident in Norristown.

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman and Norristown Police Chief Mark E. Talbot, Sr. announced on Thursday the arrest of Djuan Dominique Stout, who is also charged with driving after imbibing marijuana.

Stout, from Philadelphia, was said to have driven an Acura RDX that was involved in the incident, which was reported to have taken place around the 200 block of East Main Street.

According to authorities, Stout, in the early morning hours of Nov. 3, had been parked illegally on East Main Street. He pulled away from his spot and made a u-turn, at which point Malone, who was driving a motorcycle, crashed into Stout’s car and died.

He was arraigned Thursday in front of Magisterial District Judge Francis J. Lawrence, Jr., where his bail was set at $25,000 cash at 10%. He did not post bail and was taken to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

Stout’s preliminary hearing is scheduled on Jan. 17 in front of Magisterial District Judge Margaret Hunsicker.
