Capt. Willie Richet Honored with Civic Award

The Norristown Recreation Committee bestowed its annual "Living the Dream" award on Capt. Richet in a ceremony Monday evening.

According to The Times Herald, Norristown Recreation Committee awarded its annual civic volunteer award – the "Living the Dream" award – to Norristown's Deputy Police Chief Capt. Willie Richet in a cermemony at Norristown Municipal Hall on Monday Jan. 21.

"I'm very humbled to be receiving this award tonight," Capt. Richet told those in attendence, according to the Herald. "When I look at the name of this award, ‘Living the Dream,’ one thing I can say with certainty is that I have lived my dream."

The award is granted annually in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.

I'm sure he is living his dream, I dream of having 2 paychecks for one job too.
