Child Struck by Vehicle in Norristown Taken to CHOP, Say Police

Norristown police arrested a man who is accused of driving a vehicle that struck a child.

A Norristown man was arrested after his vehicle allegedly hit a child on East Main Street.

On Wednesday, Jan. 8, Norristown police went to the 500 block of East Main Street to investigate a report of a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle.

The person who had been struck, a child, was driven to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, according to a Norristown police report.

Police arrived and spoke with Isaac Bonner, who said that he had been driving the vehicle at issue. Police checked the man’s Pa. identification card, which read as being suspended, and they checked his car insurance, which was expired.

Bonner was taken into police custody. According to online court documents Bonner, a Norristown resident, faces a charge of an accident involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed, and a charge of operating a vehicle without the required financial responsibility.
