Chips Stolen from Valley Forge Casino

Man removed gambling chips from another player's unattended stack.

Staff at the Valley Forge Casino hope that a lifetime eviction from the establishment will be enough punishment for one Collegeville man to learn his lesson. He broke a cardinal rule in gambling: thou shalt not touch another player's chips.

According to Upper Merion Police, a Collegeville man, 54, whose name was not released, allegedly stole seven $25 gambling chips from a table at the Valley Forge Casino last weekend.

On Friday, Feb. 8 around 6:33 p.m., police said that the man removed the chips from a nearby gambler's stack. The victim, age 42, whose name was also not released, had left them unattended, according to the police report.

Police located the alleged thief and ordered him to pay the $175 back to the victim. The man did so, and the victim chose not to press charges.

Valley Forge Casino ejected the man, and asked him never to return. He'll have a lifetime ban on the location.
