Norristown Patch alerted residents early this morning to an accident in which a pedestrian was flown to a hospital by medevac after being hit by a car at West Main Street and Forrest Avenue.
According to 6ABC Action News, the victim, who a Patch user identified as a 60-year-old coworker and friend, was struck at approximately 6:30 a.m. at the intersection on the border of Norristown and West Norriton and was flown by medevac to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he is reportedly in critical condition.
The driver stopped after the accident and police are investigating the incident.

While certainly possible, I think it's unlikely. Poor road conditions and visability is my guess.
