Police and Fire Dept. Help Mother Stuck Between Train and Platform

They attended to the mother stuck while a bystander held her baby.

Norristown police responded to an entrapment rescue situation at the Norristown Transportation Center on Wednesday around 3:50 p.m. and found a mother with her left leg trapped between a SEPTA train and a platform while her infant was being held by a bystander, say police.

The woman was trapped on the west-side track on the 100 line (now the Norristown High Speed Line) in the Norristown structure.

The mother told police that, as she disembarked the train with her baby, she accidentally stepped in the crack, say Norristown police. Police saw the baby being held by someone else.
