Fire reported at Norristown State Hospital

Update 8:01 p.m.: According to sources at the scene, the trash can fire is now under control. No injuries have been reported. The fire was put out by sprinklers. It was allegedly started in a trash can in a corner room of Building 53. Fire units on the scene are ventilating the room now.

Pennsylvania State Police are reporting to investigate, according to BNN. 

Concerns at the scene, according to sources, are that a medical cart or its keys are currently in the room. Several residents were due for their medications, and are anxiously awaiting to regain access to their rooms. Hospital staff is assisting patients in evacuations, and all are awaiting word to re-enter the building safely. Many seem "unsettled" by the events.
