Former Firefighter Steals from Fire Company, Police Say

A former member of the Washington Fire Co. in Conshohocken allegedly used his fire company’s credit card to fuel his own vehicles, according to a story in The Times Herald.

Joseph Daywalt, 22, of Audubon, was arrested following a complaint in late July to the Conshohocken Police Department, according to the story. Police obtained footage of Daywalt fueling a Jeep and a Cadillac at the Jay Gress commercial fueling station and he was arrested in July.

According to court documents, Daywalt was charged with access device fraud, a felony, receiving stolen property and theft.

He is scheduled to be formally arraigned Nov. 6 at 9:30 a.m.
