Friends in Apartment Robbed By Men Wearing Bandanas, Say Police

A man told police that four men wearing bandanas over their faces came into his apartment and robbed him and his friends, say police.

Police were sent to the 900 block of West Washington Street in Norristown on Oct. 7 at around 10 p.m. to meet with a man who said that his home on the 100 block of East Main Street had been robbed, according to a Norristown police report.

The man told police that he had been in his apartment with friends when four African American men came into his apartment, wearing bandanas over their faces and holding handguns, say police.

The alleged victim described one of the men as having a dark complexion, and being about 18-22 years old, with a medium build and being about 5’8,” according to the report. The man said that that the intruder wore a black, knitted, skully hat and a green and black Adidas brand jacket, and pointed a semiautomatic handgun at him, say police.

The victim said that the man told him to relinquish all that he had, and so the victim handed over his credit cards, identification, and his phone, according to the report.

The victim said that the men robbed the rest of the people there and then ran out of the apartment; his friends then went outside to see where the intruders went, but did not find anything.
