A Norristown man parked his car in a driveway near his house overnight on Sept. 16 to find the next morning that there were items missing from the car, which he may have left unlocked, say police.
The victim told Norristown police that he parked his car in a driveway overnight near his home on the 300 block of East Logan Street in Norristown around 7 p.m. on Sept 16, to find when he returned the next day to find things missing in his car, which now looked disheveled, according to a police report.
The man told police that someone took his GPS unit worth about $200, as well as about $10 in change, say police. The man said that he might not have locked the car doors when he left it, say police.
Police saw that the inside of the car was disarranged, according to the report. Police saw that the victim’s wallet and checkbook were there in the car, but the victim told police that it did not appear that anything was missing from the wallet or checkbook, police say.
