Hancock Fire Company's Spaghetti Dinner Treated Guests to Good Food and Fun

The community gathered to eat and be merry at Hancock Fire Company's spaghetti dinner on Saturday.

Hancock Fire Company’s fundraising spaghetti dinner treated guests to mounds of linguini, savory garlic bread, cakes, and last—but not least—handmade meatballs and sauce cooked from scratch by retired Norristown Fire Department Fire Chef Jim Mullane.

According to Mullane, this is their first spaghetti dinner.

About 30 guests dined at the event, held inside of Hancock, and proceeds will go to Hancock, as well, said Hancock firefighter George Bailey, who is also a lieutenant of the Norristown fire police.

Hancock fireman Joe Catagnus brought his wife Meghan and their children to the dinner.  “We’re family,” he said of Hancock. “We’re just one big family.”

There might be another dining event before the year is out, and Hancock also holds an Easter dinner, said Bailey.
