Juvenile Foursome Attempted to Break Into Bandshell Twice, Failed Both Times, Police Say

After being captured by surveillance cameras, the four juveniles attempted to break the cameras with bricks, but failed there as well.

A foursome of juvenile males were captured on surveillance footage as they twice attempted to break into the concession stand at the Elmwood Park Bandshell over the weekend.

The incidents occurred at 2:15 a.m. on Saturday and 2:55 a.m. on Sunday, and in both cases, four juvenile males unsuccessfully attempted to gain access to the concession stand. After the teens failed to gain access, they looked directly at the security cameras, before stripping bricks from the front of the Bandshell and attempting to break the security equipment.

The teens were unsuccessful in their attempts to thwart the security footage, police said.

Municipal employees are working with police to isolate and copy the security footage. Patch has requested a copy of the surveillance footage, but it is unknown if it will be released.
