According to several media outlets, Khalif Wyatt, Norristown native and Temple University Owls' star guard, was arrested in Atlantic City shortly after 1 a.m. on Sunday morning, June 10, after police say he solicited an undercover officer engaged in a prostition sting and then tried to flee the scene. Wyatt is reportedly being charged with engaging in prostitution and resisting arrest.
The sting was a two-day operation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Innocence Lost Task Force, the Absecon Police Department and the Atlantic County Sherriff's Department. Wyatt was one of 28 people busted in the sting operation.
"We have just become aware of the charges and are still gathering information at this point," Temple Senior Associate Athletic Director Larry Dougherty told Comcast Sportsnet in a release.
