King of Prussia Man Charged with Assault

The man allegedly punched a woman who was driving a car in the face.

Whitemarsh Police arrested a King of Prussia man following a crash last Tuesday.

William Donini, 45, of the 200 block of Lincoln Road, was arrested July 16 at about 3:45 p.m. following a crash in the area of Westaway and Fields Drive in which police found a woman bleeding from the face.

According to police, Donini was standing in the road near area of the crash and said that he abandoned a car driven by the victim because she was driving recklessly; he said the laceration above his eye was a result of him hitting his head on the dashboard.

The victim said she had asked Donini to exit the car because he had been drinking, police said. Donini refused to exit and an argument escalated, ending with Donini punching the victim in the face, causing a laceration to her right eye, police said. The victim then called police, Donini exited the car, and then the victim sped away.

The victim and Donini refused medical treatment.

Donini has a lengthy criminal history. According to court documents, he has been arrested several times for assault, theft and drug charges.
