LPFD Tackles Car Fire on Trooper Road on Wednesday

No one was reported injured in a car fire that completely engulfed a Honda Accord late Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Montgomery County Department of Safety live incident feed, Lower Providence Fire Department responded to Trooper Road and the Boulevard of the Generals in Audubon at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18 for a report of a car fire.

According to The Times Herald, police and bystanders attempted, unsuccessfully, to put out the blaze completely engulfing the Honda Accord with fire extinguishers before firefighters arrived. 

Traffic was severly delayed during the incident, but no injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
