Man Airlifted Following Saturday Night Shooting

A 24-year-old man was shot three times on the 200 block of East Chestnut Street on Saturday night.

Norristown Police are investigating a shooting that occurred late Saturday night along the 200 block of East Chestnut Street.

According to police, the shooting occurred at 11:54 p.m., and a 24-year-old male was struck in the arm, hip and thigh by the gunfire. The victim was airlifted to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for treatment, but the injuries are not life threatening, police said.

Police are not releasing any other details at this time, other than stating that the investigation is ongoing.
