Man Allegedly Hit with Object and Robbed, Say Police

A man told police that he fell to the ground after he was hit, and then he was robbed.

A man told police that he was struck and robbed at night on East Airy Street, police say.

On Oct. 30 around 9:30 p.m. a man told Norristown police that he had been robbed on the 600 block of East Airy Street, according to a Norristown police report. The man told police that had been outside of a family member’s house on the same block when someone used some sort of blunt item to hit his left collarbone, police say.

The victim told police that he fell to the ground and may have lost consciousness for a bit. He said that his black wallet was taken, which held his credit cards, ID, and somewhere between $400-500 in cash, according to the report. He said that, after the robbery, he saw two African-American men running east on Airy Street, police say.
