Man Allegedly Robbed At Gunpoint in His Apartment, Say Police

The man alleges that he had to lie on his bed with a gun to his head, according to a police report.

A man told police that two men came into his Norristown apartment, robbed him at gunpoint and made him lay on his bed while putting something over his head, according to a Norristown police report.

On Oct. 14 around 8 p.m., police came to the 400 block of West Main Street to see about a robbery that was allegedly in progress, say police. The alleged male victim told police that, after answering a knock on his apartment door, he was confronted by a light-skinned African American man and a white man who forced their way into his residence, say police.

The victim told police that the white man pressed a gun to his head and said “give us all your money,” according to the report.

The victim told police that the white man told him to lay on the bed as he pressed a gun with a black barrel to his head and then the man put something over the victim’s head, according to the report. 

The victim told police that, after then men left, he decided that they had looked through the apartment and took from his wallet his ATM card, his Access card, $25 and a credit card, according to the report.

The victim told police that the men rummaged through his refrigerator and freezer and through other parts of the apartment., say police. The men are said to have been last seen fleeing north on Chain Street on foot, say police. 

According to the victim, both men were about 5’8” and looked to be about 20 to 25 years and 150 pounds; he described the white man as having a dark beard and moustache, say police.
