Man Allegedly Steals iPhone from Good Samaritan, Say Police

A Norristown man allowed a stranger to use his iPhone, and the man took the phone and ran, say police.

A Good Samaritan in Norristown let a man use his apple iPhone, only to watch the man take the phone and flee, say police.

A Norristown man told Norristown police that a man stole his apple iPhone on Sept. 16 around 5 p.m. as the Norristown man moved into his new home on the 100 block of Schuylkill Avenue. The victim told police that the iPhone and its blue case were worth about $200, according to a police report.

The victim told police that he was approached by a man who asked to use his phone, according to the report. The man was an African American man with light skin, and looked to be about 25 years old, about 5’8’’ and about 150 pounds, say police. The man wore blue jeans and a black shirt, and had a black backpack, say police.
