A man told Norristown police that his house was burgled while he was out for the day.
On Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 12:55 a.m. Norristown police spoke with an alleged victim of a burglary that supposedly happened during daytime hours at his residence on the 500 block of George Street the day before, according to a Norristown police report. The man told police that he left his house around 10 a.m. on Tuesday and he returned at 3 p.m. to find his front door unlocked.
The man told police that his ACCESS card, which had about $486, was gone, as well as his son’s black and yellow Craftsman toolbox, which contained a full set of drill bits, wrenches and more, say police.
The victim told police that there had been workers in the house in the weeks before and he claimed that the workers knew of their belongings. He told police that he did not know if any of the workers had been involved in this recent incident.
