A man with a tattoo of red lips on his upper neck is accused of punching a man and taking a sweatshirt containing his bank debit card as the alleged victim sat in his van in a Norristown parking lot, say police.
Norristown police arrived at the 400 block of Markley Street to respond to an alleged robbery that was happening on Sept. 28 around 9:30 p.m., according to a Norristown police report.
The victim told police that he had been sitting in his van in a parking lot, talking on his phone when a man approached him, say police. The victim described him as a thin, white man, about 5’10”, with a goatee, blond, about 20-25 years old, and wearing a dark sweatshirt that had a hood, say police. The victim said that the man had a tattoo on his upper neck of a pair of red lips, according to the report.
The victim told police that the man came over to the victim’s car and told the victim that he would cut him if he did not give him money, say police. After the victim told the man that he did not have money, the man opened the driver’s side door and punched the victim in his face and head, according to the report.
The victim then told police that the man finished punching him and went to the passenger’s side, opened the door, took the victim’s blue sweatshirt with a hood that held his bank debit card, and ran west toward Markley Street, say police.
The victim told police that, though the man said that he has a knife, the victim did not see one, according to the report. He was not completely sure about the location of the man’s red lips tattoo, but was able to say that it was on the upper part of the man’s neck, just under the man’s ear, say police. The victim had small cuts in the areas of his nose and mouth, say police.
