Norristown Man Arrested for More Child Porn, Federal Level Charges

Gary Romano, 56, of Norristown is facing additional charges of child pornography of a federal level, according to a report on CBS Local. These will be added to charges of child pornography and molestation charges, which had been filed first back in February 2012.

Romano was charged with assaulting a toddler, and up until his arrest was also continuing his posts on sites like Craigslist and Sittercity.com for babysitting services, said CBS's article.

CBS notes that authorities have unsealed indictment charges. They claim Romano was "using an underage child to engage in sexually explicit conduct in October and November 2009 in order to produce an image of that conduct," said the article.

Images which contained child pornography were removed from two desktop computers in Romano's possession, said CBS's report. Romano was rearrested from his Norristown home on June 4 and is currently awaiting trial.
