Norristown Man Allegedly Drives Car into Tree After Fight With Wife

The pair were reportedly drinking into the early morning hours before the crash.

According to reports from the Norristown Police Department, a Norristown man drove his car into a tree along Laurel Drive on the grounds of the Norristown State Hospital presumably after an argument with his wife.

Police were dispatched to the scene just before 9 a.m. on Sunday and found the driver, a 37-year-old Norristown man had suffered unknown injuries after driving his 2002 Infiniti at a high rate of speed into a large tree along Laurel Drive. The man was reportedly transported from the scene by medevac to a undisclosed hospital.

According to police, just before the accident, the man told his wife, "This is going to be your fault." His wife admitted to police that they had been drinking into the early morning hours. The driver was reportedly tested for blood alcohol content and results of the test are pending.
