Norristown Man Sentenced for Sexual Contact with Underage Boy

William Deschamp, of Norristown, was sentenced to 6 to 12 years in state prison for sexually abusing an Upper Dublin child.

 

William C. Deschamp, a 76-year-old resident of the 1100 block of West Main Street in Norristown, and former Quakertown resident, was sentenced as a sexually violent predator by Judge Joseph A. Smyth, according to a report by the Ambler Gazette.

Deschamp "was sentenced to six to 12 years in state prison after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse” reported the Gazette.

After a criminal complaint in 2011 by the father of an Upper Dublin boy that stated the Deschamp had sexually abused the boy while he was with Deschamp between 2008 and 2009.

The boy was under the age of 13 at the time of the incidents.

Deschamp must register his address with the state police for the rest of his life once he is released from prison and the community he resides in will be made aware of his housing arrangements, per Megan’s Law.
