Shots Fired at Green and Jacoby Streets, Cars Damaged, No Injuries Reported

Neighbors report hearing a number of shots fired in the area Tuesday afternoon.

At the same time firefighters were responding to a house fire in the 600 block of West Main Street on Tuesday afternoon, Norristown Police were rushing to the corner of Jacoby and Green streets for a report of multiple shots fired in the area.

Officers cordoned off the corner at approximately 4 p.m. on April 2, and canvased the street and the surrounding area for evidence and spent shell casings. Several casings were visible in the street.

No victims were reported injured in the incident, but according to The Times Herald, the windows of at least five cars were damaged by the gunfire.

Norristown Police are investigating a report of shots fired at the corner of Jacoby and Green Streets in Norristown from Tuesday afternoon.

Residents in the area reported hearing up to 10 shots fired.

Police have not located a victim on the scene and are currently canvassing the area for evidence in the shots fired report.
