OMG PD: Pastor Pulls Gun on Repo Man in Church Parking Lot, Police Say

This week's stories include a pastor who pulled a gun on a man who showed up at church to repo his Lexus, an incident of hit-and-run on a police vehicle, and a thief who left his tools at the scene of a failed heist.

The Lord Giveth, and the Lord Taketh Away: According to a report in the Bryn Mawr Patch, a 48-year-old pastor was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possession of an unlicensed firearm after he allegedly pulled a gun on a man who was attempting to repossess his Lexus from the church parking lot.

The victim told Lower Merion police that the pastor walked out of the church and pointed the gun directly him, then got into his Lexus and drove away.

Woman Strikes Occupied Police Car, Attempts to Flee: According to a report in the Upper Dublin Patch, a 66-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly struck a police vehicle and attempted to flee the scene.

The police vehicle–which was occupied by an officer and two juveniles at the time–sustained damage to the side-view mirror and spotlight. The driver was apprehended a short time later, by the same officer.

Thief Fails to Steal Dump Truck, Leaves Tools Behind: According to a report in the Plymouth-Whitemarsh Patch, a thief tried to use a drill on the ignition of a dump drunk in an attempt to steal the vehicle.

After failing to start the vehicle, and having caused significant damage to the ignition, the frustrated thief abandoned both the tools and the scene.

Dental Practice Burglars Bypass Narcotics for Antibiotics: According to a report in the Bryn Mawr Patch, thieves who struck Bryn Mawr Periodontal Associates left the narcotics cabinet untouched, but made off with electronics and antibiotics.

Police say something was taken from nearly every room of the office, including three computers and several Nikon cameras.
