'Patricia Porch' Arrested Again for Public Drunkenness; This Time on Bench, Police Say

Mariann Tokarchik, 49, of Norristown, was arrested on Friday for allegedly being drunk in public. During a similar arrest nearly three weeks ago, she told police her name was 'Patricia Porch'

A Norristown woman who told police her name was "Patricia Porch" during a public drunkenness arrest several weeks ago has been arrested again – this time, for allegedly being drunk on a bench.

Mariann Tokarchik, 49, of Norristown, was arrested and charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct on June 28, after police received a call stating that a woman in a tie-dye shirt was causing a disturbance around 1 p.m. at Riverfront Park. Upon arrival, police observed Tokarchik sitting on a bench while yelling profanities at multiple people – including small children, according to the report.

After allegedly ignoring orders from police, Tokarchik was placed under arrest, police said. She was then transported to the Norristown Police Department, where she continued to refuse to cooperate, according to the report.

After about 20 minutes, police were able to convince Tokarchik to remove her jewelry and enter a cell to sober up, the report states. She was later released after being cited.
