Philadelphia Man Sentenced for Armed Robberies at Upper Merion Apartment Complex
Shawn LaMar Turner, of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty to several armed robberies at the Marquis Apartments.
According to The Times Herald, a Philadelphia man has been sentenced to three and a half to seven years in jail for his involvement in a serious of armed robberies in the parking lot of the Marquis Apartment Complex in Upper Merion.
Shawn LaMar Turner, 22, reportedly pleaded guilty to access device fraud, robbery and criminal conspiracy. According to an affidavit, Turner and another suspect would accost their victims as they walked to their cars and rob them at gunpoint. They would then use the credit cards at nearby stores, creating a paper trail aided investigators in capturing Turner and an accomplice.
The robberies occured on Aug. 11 and Aug. 14 of this year.
