Phoenixville Man Arrested for Making Terroristic Threats

Ernest Key allegedly threw a brick through a man's window and threatened him with a gun.

A Phoenixville man is accused of making terroristic threats after throwing a brick through a Norristown man's window and brandished a gun while threatening him.

According to The Times Herald, 31-year-old Ernest Key, of Phoenixville, was arrested on Saturday, July 21 in Norristown after he allegedly showed up at the victim's home on the 200 block of Knox Street, showed the victim a gun and told him he owed Key money. The victim retreated upstairs and locked himself in his bedroom, but Key allegedly broke a window with a brick and scratched his demand into the victim's front door.

Key is charged with two counts of terroristic threats, simple assault, three counts of criminal mischief, providing false information to an officer and recklessly endangering another person.

Bail was set at $25,000. Key faces preliminary hearing on July 30.
