Plymouth Bank Robbery Suspect in Custody

Thirty-year-old Omar Muse, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody on Monday, Oct. 15.

According to a release issued by Plymouth Township Police, the suspect in two area bank robberies over the last weekend is currently in custody in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

According to police, on section of Plymouth Township and presented a note to the bank teller demanding money. The suspect, later identified as 30-year-old Omar Muse, of Philadelphia, left on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

Plymouth Police reportedly received numerous tips from the public regarding Muse's identity and with the assistance of Philadelphia Police 22nd District, he was taken into custody on Monday, Oct. 15, without incident.

Muse was arraigned before Judge Francis J. Bernhardt in Conshohocken on robbery and theft related charges and is currently in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $500,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 19, at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Bernhardt. 

Muse is also believed to be the suspect responsible for Patch is awaiting confirmation from Lower Merion Police on any charges they may be filing against Muse.
