UPDATE: Two Juveniles in Custody After Police Break Up Riot at St. Gabe's Hall

Officers from six police departments reponded to a call for a riot at St. Gabriel's Hall in Lower Providence involving 180 students and several staff members.

Police from at least six municipalities responded to St. Gabriel's Hall in Lower Providence shortly before noon on Monday, June 4 to assist with what county emergency dispatchers described as a riot in the dining hall.

According to The Times Herald, two juveniles were arrested in connection with the disturbance. One reportedly faces aggrevated assault and related charges for assualting two members of St. Gabriel's staff. The other juvenile is facing disorderly conduct charges.

Lower Providence Police, Upper Providence Police, and Upper Merion Police had units at the scene when a reporter arrived at 12:15 p.m. and the Herald reports additional units from , Schuylkill and Valley Forge National Historic Park responded to assist as well.

WPVI-TV reported that about 180 students were involved. No injuries were reported.

St. Gabriel's Hall is operated by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, which describes it as "a residential program for young men ages 10 to 18 adjudicated by the Philadelphia court system."

The school's principal declined to comment on the situation early Monday afternoon.
