Norristown police are investigating an alleged gunpoint robbery at a local restaurant.

On Jan. 24 around 10:20 p.m., a man who looked to be about 25-30 years old and a female of an unknown age robbed the China Palace Restaurant at 1100 Markley St. in Norristown at gunpoint, say police.

Both suspects had semi-automatic handguns.

The male is white, about 5’11”, with a medium build. He wore a jacket that was dark colored, with a grey hood, as well as an ivory-colored knitted hat and a scarf of the same color that had multicolored stripes, say police. He wore tan work boots and light-colored blue denim jeans.

It is believed that the man is the person who committed an armed robbery at the H&L Grocery on Jan. 22, police say.

The female is about 5’5” and her age is not known. She wore a black coat that had a hood, and long with a black scarf and a white knit hat that had dark-colored stripes.

The suspects may have escaped in a white or silver Acura legend that was an older model.

Anyone with information or who can identify the suspects is asked to contact Norristown Police at 610-270-0977.
